Cosmetic and Beauty Products claiming to be natural or organic, are all the rage, but how do you assure that the claims are genuine?  In this article, we provide certain tips to help you buy genuine natural products for your cosmetic and beauty needs.

All-natural and organic have become catch phrases today. Many a times, when you read between the lines of an advertisement campaign, you find that they are misleading, since they attempt to highlight what you want to hear. They may highlight a few ingredients that are herbal or natural, but they shall never mention a whole lot of other synthetic and chemical ingredients that also go into making of a product. It would be worth your time to know more about your cosmetic and beauty products and to find out ways to ensure naturalness or its organic origin.

  • Skin has the tendency to absorb, whatever  is topically applied onto it. Any cosmetic or beauty product that has any of these chemicals, acts like poison to our system. This is as a consequence of the fact that the chemicals also get absorbed by the skin.
  • Natural-ness, or 100% natural certification is a program offered by many certification agencies. Most cosmetic companies, which are genuinely natural, shall have this certification. One way to ensure that you are buying a 100% natural product is by asking your supplier to furnish his valid certificate.
Organic Certification- Similarly, any claims on organic, can also be verified. I have written a blog-post on organic certification on one of my blogs, and I invite all of you to go through the post. Click to read.
